Carob Cake
This recipe will make one 20cm Carob Cake. What you will need:
125g's of butter
3/4 cup of castor sugar
2/3 cup steamed mashed potato (allow to cool)
1/3 cup of carob powder
2 eggs that have been beaten lightly
1 cup of rice flour
1/2 cup soy flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/3 cup of milk
Putting it together: 1. Preheat your oven to 175c and grease a 20cm cake tin.
2. Place the cream butter, sugar and mashed potato in a large bowl and beat well and gradually beat in the eggs.
3. Sift the flours, baking powder and carob together and fold into the flour mixture with milk, ensure to blend this well.
4. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin and bake for 40-50 minutes.
5. Remove, allow to cool and enjoy! |
